[A short pink-haired girl is enthusiastically spitting sand out of her mouth; having woken up face down in the sand and mistaking the ground for something tasty thanks to whatever pleasant dream she'd been having. There's sand all over her clothes as well but she's put that aside for the moment in favor of trying desperately to get the sand off her tongue.]

Bwech-- tashts bwad. Uuuuuu--

[Her face is still contorted... at least for another half a minute before she starts to take in her surroundings properly. Her mouth closes more and her eyes widen instead.]

Work Like Rent is Due TOMORROW.

[This poor ruin has no idea what it's in for now that Otori Emu is on the job. Nor do the other innocent souls who might have ventured out this way hoping to collect some sugar for the local bakeries and confectioners. A tiny pink girl is dashing inside like an unstoppable force. Without an ounce of restraint she belts out enthusiastically--]

Okay. Mission Sugar Sweet Sweep is ooon!!

[Maybe she'll work on the name for next time. More importantly there's STUFF here!! Fascinating stuff. And maybe even other people.]

I bet there's all kinds of cool useful stuff here-- oh. But I should get what I came here for first. Mmmmm sugar, sugar... where would I be if...

[She lifts her nose a little and sniffs a bit, like maybe her nose will lead her to the sugar. It can't hurt to try right...?]

Dream Lover, Where Are You

[It feels so surreal and yet when she looks down at her phone to see the notification about the date... that doesn't feel strange at all. In fact she lights up; bouncing on her toes.]

--if I don't hurry I'm gonna be late! There are lots of other people around... sorry, sorry please let me through!

[The person she's looking for... he shouldn't be far from here, right? But she might bump into others looking for their dates or perhaps innocently strolling around in the process too.]

If we're lucky and it's been stored properly, then maybe there'll be some sugar. [ He tries to be reassuring, having remembered something about how properly stored sugar doesn't spoil. ...Not that he'd know for sure, given sugar wasn't always cheap back home. ]

[Admittedly Emu doesn't know as much about food safety as she'd like. Her brothers had always tried to keep her from digging too deep into the more involved business aspects of the park and steer her into her own corner but it's things that she wants to learn now so that one day she'll be able to help them. Still, she wants to remain optimistic for everyone who's so looking forward to it.]

--all kinds of stuff!! Robots, stage props, decorations-- he would always surprise us with something new and amazing that would make our shows even more incredible!

[ The irony of personally knowing a robot without ever having heard the term "robot", because that likely doesn't exist yet, so he doesn't make the connection. The other things, however... ]

That's right! We've put on tons of amazing shows on stage since the four of us starting working together!

[She laces her fingers behind her back and smiles, not quite looking at anything in particular.]

I owe them a whooole lot. The stage has become so much more lively since we started working together. At least... before I had to leave for a while. But I'm sure they'll be okay! I trust them. They'll take care of the Wonder Stage for me.

The people here have more pressing matters on their minds right now, but it'd be nice to set up a stage here too.
