Action | Open

a. Mirages

[If you are out during the night and particularly gullible curious, you might find some floating green flames dancing around in the desert- they're visible enough from the city of Sunspire, but you have to go out there if you want to investigate further!

If one is very perceptive, they might pick up on the magic in use, illusion magic, fae in nature, or perhaps if you have a keen sense of smell you might pick up the scent of a large, scaly predator(a dragon) with a light mist of the scent of roses. Anyone who is at LEAST perceptive enough to not follow the green flame and instead look for it's source may even pick up on stifled laughter.

For the more easily led, that green fire will take them out into the desert far enough that finding their way back might be difficult before disembodied laughter becomes very much embodied, a young teenager sporting black dragon horns on his head floating out of reach and laughing impishly at his "prank" gone well.]

b. Curiosity

[He eventually makes it back to the city. It probably takes longer than he'd like, but he is not immune to harsh sunlight, hunger, nor thirst. That said, he is a fairy without any memory, so commerce is actually really a daunting prospect at this time! So as he takes to the market but after a few failed bartering attempts he goes to find some sucker friendly-looking fellow to accost.]

Hello, mortal. Come, assist me in attaining sustenance, and I shall owe you a boon.

[He could probably not start by calling someone "mortal", as he shouldn't assume!!! But he doesn't really feel inclined to think too hard on it. They're probably not fae, he is sure!]

c. WILDCARD

[OOC: Feel free to encounter Malleus anywhere, he is a wanderer! He has no memories at this point, not even his name. If you have questions/concerns/wish to plot, you can hit me up via PM or at [plurk.com profile] decathect]

[You know, that gives him just the slightest bit of pause. This seems like it might go beyond Malleus' normal level of weird. Maybe. He did not know Malleus very well by his own admission, so perhaps he's just imagining things. Still, worth asking about. Maybe he's getting heat exhaustion? Indigestion? Who knows.

Maybe his smile is just incredibly unsettling and it's getting to Azul's head. That's honestly probably it.

Malleus... are you feeling alright?

[Oh for... What. Did. He. Get. Into? Ugh, he wouldn't put it past him to have just eaten some kind of weird mushrooms he found in the middle of the desert.]

...Yes? We've been at the same school for two years! You also have a fixation on gargoyles and like to wander decrepit old buildings.

[Because surely... surely Malleus would not have forgotten gargoyles?]

You... you've forgotten everything haven't you?

[This could mean either very good things for him, or very bad things, depending on Malleus' disposition when he's completely feral.]

[It was often easy to gloss past the fact that Malleus was, in fact, given how often he was in his human form. As he is now though there's the little reminder in the back of his mind that with this new development... he's probably on the menu.]

[Again.]

[Alright so first order of business should probably be feeding Malleus then trying to sort out his memory issues. Azul could try and figure out how to make the most of the situation from there.]

Well, dragon or not, you do still need food. Follow me, I've got the old diner set up enough to cook up something decent.

I have always known you to be an honest man, if nothing else.

[Sometimes maybe a little too honest, but that was fine. It wasn’t like he’d ever do something as disastrous as ask Malleus to go incognito. Besides it made it easier for him for business, it wasn’t like working with Jamil where you had to back him into a corner and twist his arm to get a deal out of him. No, this was good and… possibly fair for now. He didn’t have a death wish.]

You wouldn’t remember, but I run a cafe at our school. While I’m lacking in our menu’s usual variety of sweets, I’ve been making a variety fish dishes that I hope you’ll enjoy.

Ah, my apologies. I am Azul Ashengrotto, it’s a pleasure to… well… to continue knowing you fits best I think.

[He says, sucking up with every fiber of his being.

When they get to the diner, it’s still clearly a work in progress. It’s been somewhat cleaned- though the only part that’s been painstakingly deep cleaned is the cooking area, and the counters at the front.

There’s also a freshly stolen espresso machine. He finally got it working, and it’s his pride and joy.

He gestures for Malleus to take a seat, while he goes to the back to pull some of his best fish out. This was Malleus. His memory may be gone but he is a prince, he was going to have to pull out all the stops to make this at least passable.
]

So, you have been staying in the desert all this time? You know they have lodging here that you can use, it leaves much to be desired, but it will protect you from the elements.

Fortunately, no one has asked for any sort of rent yet- but I cannot promise that won’t change.

[He looked over the fish ready to overthink this far more than he needed to. Malleus seemed to enjoy things that were a new experience, but right now that could count as just about everything. Though what if he had some latent memories? Best to be safe and give him something he’s positive Malleus has never had before…

Fish tacos.

So he’d get right on cooking the fish up accordingly.
