[Niki isn't good at a lot of things, but if there's one thing he can do, it's foraging, so when the bakers ask for help, Niki is almost too enthusiastic to sign up. If anyone is nearby considering a job, Niki turns to them with enthusiasm:]
Are you thinking of heading to the ruins, too? I'll do anything when I'm hungry, but I'd like it a lot better if I didn't have to go alone!

If anyone is into hunting, could you maybe consider bringing me along? I don't like doing unnecessary things, but I think it might be important for me to learn. [Technically, Niki is always in survival mode, but this is a little too reminiscent of when he was younger. It really sucks, but he doesn't want to complain too much about personal things, so he doesn't.]
Anyway, I'll help out with anything I can! So feel free to tell me what to do. ☆ If it means I can eat, then I'll be a good little worker bee.

I'm not comfortable bringing a newbie to something potentially dangerous if they don't have any training. So I'll share some of my haul this time, but when I get back I can teach you some basics. It's still best to go with someone more experienced at first though.
