Ah, hello!
I hope everyone is settling in as well as can be expected. I know this situation is difficult and unsettling, but even in an environment like this there's ways to make yourselves more comfortable, especially if you're going out into the desert for supplies. Clover suggested making a list, so here goes:
- Make sure to wear clothes that cover your arms and legs. It'll stave off sunburn and reduce how much water you lose through sweat.
- Try to stay in the shade during the hottest times in the day, and try to limit when you're exerting yourself to when it's cooler, like the evenings. Keeping yourself from sweating too much is even more important than having enough water.
- Eating will only make you thirstier. Try to eat as little as you need to survive when you're out there.
- As hot as it is during the day, it'll get just as cold at night, so always have some means of building a fire if you're away from town. Matches or a lighter are easiest, but if you don't have them, there's other ways to do it, with wood or even just a lens of some kind. I can show you if you need it.
- Avoid sitting on the ground if you can. It's a lot hotter than the air generally around you, and you don't want to get burned.
I'm Vash, by the way. Let me know if you need anything! I've been living in areas like this for a very long time, so if you have any questions, I can probably help.
